Cookies Policy

This Cookies Policy sets out the rules for storing and accessing information on the terminal equipment of users of the agrena.pl website by means of cookies and similar technologies. The document complies with Directive 2002/58/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council (Directive on Privacy and Electronic Communications) and with the Polish Telecommunications Law of 16 July 2004.

1. What are cookies

Cookies are small text files that are stored on the user’s terminal equipment (computer, tablet, smartphone) while using a website. These files usually contain the name of the website, their retention period and a unique identifier. They allow the user’s device to be recognised on subsequent visits and the content of the Website to be adapted to their preferences.

Similar technologies are also used, such as browser local storage, pixel signals and device identifiers, to which the provisions of this Policy apply accordingly.

2. Types of cookies used

The following types of cookies are used on the agrena.pl Website:

A. Necessary cookies (technical)

These files are essential for the proper functioning of the Website and cannot be disabled in our systems. They are usually set only in response to user actions, such as setting privacy preferences, logging in or filling in forms. These cookies do not require the user’s consent.

B.Functional cookies

They allow the Website to remember choices made by the user (e.g. preferred language) and provide enhanced, personalised features. They may be set by us or by third-party providers whose services we use on our Website.

C. Analytical / performance cookies

They allow information to be collected about how Users use the Website, which pages they visit most often and whether they receive error messages. The data collected by these cookies is aggregated and anonymous. These cookies require the user’s consent.

D. Marketing cookies

They allow tracking of User activity on the Website in order to deliver advertising content tailored to their preferences. They may be set by our advertising partners. These cookies require the user’s consent.

3. Third-party cookies — TradingView

The Website uses the TradingView widget (provider: TradingView, Inc., 333 Bush Street, Suite 2800, San Francisco, CA 94104, USA) for the presentation of agricultural commodity quotations (wheat, corn, soybean and others) on the CBOT exchange.

In connection with the use of the TradingView widget, cookies from the tradingview.com domain and related domains used by TradingView may be stored on the User’s device. These cookies are used for:

  • remembering User preferences regarding chart display (selected commodity, time range, chart type)
  • ensuring the correct loading and operation of the widget
  • collection of analytical and statistical data by TradingView
  • possible marketing purposes of TradingView

The Controller has no control over the content or retention period of cookies set by TradingView. Detailed information on the processing of data by TradingView is available in the TradingView Privacy Policy at: https://www.tradingview.com/policies/

To block TradingView cookies, the User may:

  • use the consent management settings on our Website (if made available)
  • block cookies in their web browser settings
  • completely block the loading of the widget using browser extensions that block third-party content

Please note that blocking TradingView cookies may prevent the proper display of quotation charts on the Website.

4. Other third parties

The Website may link to content or services provided by other third parties, including:

  • capital.com — in the context of references to CFD quotations based on CBOT (provider: Capital Com SV Investments Ltd or affiliated companies). Clicking on a link directing to these resources may result in cookies being set by this entity, under the terms specified in its privacy policy.
  • analytical tools such as Google Analytics — if implemented, they are used to measure traffic on the Website. Full information will be provided in the consent management panel in case of their activation.

The Controller is not responsible for the privacy policy and rules on the use of cookies by third parties to whose services or content the Website refers.

5. Cookie retention period

Cookies, depending on their type, may be stored:

  • session cookies — for the duration of the browser session (until it is closed)
  • persistent cookies — for the time specified in the cookie file parameters (usually from a few days to 24 months) or until they are deleted by the User

Specific retention periods for individual cookies are available in the consent management tool or in the browser settings.

6. Managing cookies

The User may at any time change the settings for cookies on their own.

  • accepting or rejecting all cookies
  • selectively accepting specific types of cookies
  • deleting stored cookies
  • receiving notifications whenever a cookie is saved

Detailed information on managing cookies is available in the settings of each of the popular web browsers:

  • Google Chrome: https://support.google.com/chrome/answer/95647
  • Mozilla Firefox: https://support.mozilla.org/pl/kb/ciasteczka

Please note that restricting or disabling cookies may affect the functionality of certain elements of the Website, in particular the operation of the TradingView quotation widget.

7. Granting and withdrawing consent

On the first visit to the Website, the User is asked to give consent to the use of cookies requiring consent (analytical, marketing and third-party cookies, such as TradingView). Consent is granted through the consent management panel displayed on the page.

Consent given may be withdrawn or modified at any time by:

  • reopening the consent management panel (usually available via a link in the footer of the Website)
  • changing the settings of the web browser

Withdrawal of consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out on the basis of consent before its withdrawal.

8. Changes to the Cookies Policy

The Controller reserves the right to make changes to this Cookies Policy. The current version of the Cookies Policy is always available at agrena.pl/polityka-cookies.
